Helpful Tips and Variations:
Is it necessary to use frozen pineapple? Not really, you can use fresh pineapple chunks, but you’ll need to add some ice to make it cold, a cool smoothie wouldn’t be as great. (To get the best flavors, I don’t recommend using canned pineapple)
Which orange juice should I use? If you have some extra time, you can squeeze your own orange juice. If not, make sure to get some good quality real orange juice.
How can I substitute the orange juice? Instead of orange juice, you can use a different type of juice; or replace it with coconut water.
Is it necessary to use Vanilla extract? Not really, the vanilla extract adds a tasty note to your drink, but it’s not necessary.
How can I control the smoothie’s texture? If you prefer your smoothie to be thinner, make sure to pour more orange juice; if you want it to be thicker, add more pineapple chunks.
Can I add any healthy greens to this smoothie? Sure! For extra nutritional values, you can add some spinach or kale.
Is it possible to add protein powder? Absolutely! You can add a scoop of your favorite protein powder; it could be vanilla protein powder, or even an unflavored one. It’ll make a great, healthy, and filling breakfast.
How can I store any leftovers? Store any leftovers in a mason jar or a well-sealed glass bottle in the fridge for up to 3 days, or put in the freezer for up to 3 months. If you think it’s too thin, put it back in the blender, add some pieces of frozen fruit and mix.
