Ingredients

  • 8 ounces of pasta uncooked
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 1 can 14 ounces of tomato sauce
  • 3/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Naturally ground Parmesan cheese for serving, to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it reaches al dente texture. Drain the pasta and set it aside, making sure to reserve some of the pasta water.
  • In a large skillet, soften the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook it for about 1-2 minutes until it becomes fragrant.
  • Incorporate the tomato paste into the skillet, stirring constantly, and cook for an additional minute.
  • Add the tomato sauce to the skillet, mixing it well with the garlic and tomato paste.
  • Reduce the heat to low and slowly pour the heavy cream into the skillet while stirring continuously to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.
  • Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, adjusting the seasonings according to your taste preferences.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer gently for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it slightly thickens.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, you can adjust its consistency by adding a little bit of the reserved pasta water.
  • Serve the creamy tomato sauce over the cooked pasta and top it with freshly grated Parmesan cheese to taste. Enjoy your delicious meal!
