Skimmer or slotted spoonto gently place in the eggs and to remove them afterward
Timerto keep track of the exact cooking time
Ice water bowlto halt the cooking and cool the eggs
Instructions
Fill up a medium sized pot with enough water to cover the eggs by about 1 inch and let it boil.
In the meantime, get the eggs out of the fridge and set them on the counter to bring to room temperature. Fill a bowl with ice and water to make an ice bath and put it aside.
Once the water is boiling, lower the heat and gently add the eggs to the pot, then increase the heat back to a boil. (You can use a slotted spoon to safely place the eggs in the pot)
Cook the eggs for 12 to 14 minutes (you can use a timer to be precise).
Using the skimmer, remove the boiled eggs and gently place them in the ice water bowl (I highly recommend not skipping this step).
Remove the shell of the eggs either by rolling them on the counter top or tapping against it.
