Ingredients

  • 2 small cabbage heads
  • 3 tbsp. olive oil
  • ½ tsp. salt or to taste
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder

Instructions

  • To begin, gather the necessary ingredients: a head of cabbage, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) to ensure a perfectly roasted result.
  • With a sharp knife, carefully slice the cabbage into thick, even slices, about an inch thick. These slices will serve as the “steaks” for this dish.
  • Next, place the cabbage steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle each steak with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste, allowing the flavors to enhance the natural sweetness of the cabbage.
  • Once the oven has reached the desired temperature, place the baking sheet with the cabbage steaks inside. Roast for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and golden brown. The cabbage will become tender and slightly caramelized, adding a depth of flavor to the dish.
