4tablespoonsunsalted butterdivided
Instructions
Set your oven to 425 degrees F and line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper.
Brush the halved jalapenos with olive oil on both sides, then place them on the baking sheet.
Roast in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the skin is slightly charred. Let them cool.
Add the cream cheese in a medium bowl, then add in the garlic, salt, pepper, and onion powder and mix to get a good creamy texture.
Once the jalapenos have cooled down enough, chop and add them to the cream cheese mixture.
Coat one side of one slice of bread with some butter and on the other side lay half of the creamy mixture. Top with 3 slices of smoked turkey and ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Cover with the other slice of bread, then brush the outside with butter. Repeat the same steps of the rest of the bread.
Place the filled sandwiches in a skillet and cook them on both sides over medium heat (about 3 to 5 minutes for each side). Your bread should look brown, crispy, and the cheese gooey. Savor every bite!
