First step is cooking the sausage and onion. Add the Italian sausage and diced onion to a large skillet and cook over medium heat. Make sure the sausage is thoroughly browned and no pink is visible. While it’s cooking, don’t forget to break the sausage apart into small pieces. Remove any excess grease if needed.
Second step is melting the cheese. Add in the cream cheese and processed cheese to the sausage and onion. Over medium heat, stir the mixture constantly until the cheeses are fully melted and the mixture becomes smooth.
Third step is adding the milk and seasoning. Blend in the milk, Worcestershire sauce and dry mixture into the sausage and cheese mixture. Keep cooking while continuously stirring, until the dip is steaming and bubbly.
Fourth step is adding the Cheddar cheese. Fold in the sharp cheddar cheese until it’s completely melted and the dip is smooth, creamy and everything is well combined.
Serve the dip right away while it’s still warm. Accompany with tortilla chips or slices of crostini. Enjoy!
