Ingredients Needed:

Onion

2 Medium diced yellow onions (you can replace with white onions)
Garlic cloves (2 minced)
2 Tablespoons butter (or olive oil)
1 ½ cups light sour cream
Fresh chives (chopped)
2 Teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Fresh thyme leaves (swap with ¼ of dried thyme)
1 Teaspoon fine salt
½ Teaspoon cracked black pepper

Instructions:

Firstly, melt the butter over medium high heat in a large fry pan. Then add the onions and sauté for 25 minutes, stirring every 2 to 3 minutes or until the onions are soft, caramelized and golden brown.

Briefly sauté the minced garlic for a minute or two. Remove from the stove and transfer the onions to a medium bowl. Put the bowl in the fridge, let it chill for 15 minutes.
Remove a couple tablespoons of the onion mixture to use as a garnish. Add the sour cream, fresh chives, Worcestershire sauce, and fresh thyme. Season with salt and pepper, then mix all ingredients to combine.
