How to make this Air Fryer Gnocchi Recipe?
Turn on your air fryer to preheat at 390 degrees Fahrenheit. Use olive oil to lightly grease the basket.
Toss the gnocchi in a large mixing bowl. Add in the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, black pepper and grated Parmesan. (do not defrost if using frozen ones)

Place the prepared gnocchi in the basket and make sure not to overlap to get them as crispy as possible.
If you are using shelf stable and refrigerated gnocchi, let them cook for 11 to 14 minutes. Shake the basket every 4 to 5 minutes to make sure they are crispy and golden on all sides.
For frozen gnocchi, you should let it air fry for 13 to 16 minutes, also shake the basket every 4 to 5 minutes to end up with gorgeous crispy brown pieces.
Top your crispy gnocchi with extra Parmesan cheese and some fresh herbs. Pair with some marinara sauce or pesto. Enjoy!

Helpful Tips and Variations:
Which gnocchi should I use? I went with homemade potato gnocchi for this recipe. You can replace the regular potato gnocchi with sweet potato gnocchi, cauliflower, pumpkin or spinach.
Should I use fresh or frozen gnocchi? You can use both, according to what you’ve got on hand (I mentioned the air frying time difference for each).
Is the olive oil necessary? Yes! Using a dash of oil in this recipe is important; without it the pieces will not turn out as crisp and brown as you want them to be. You can replace the olive oil with avocado oil if desired.
Can gnocchi be flourless? Sure! You can buy flourless gnocchi or make your own, using only potatoes and eggs (expect the texture to be a bit tender). If you want it vegan, then leave out the parmesan.
Can I add cheese to homemade gnocchi? Traditional gnocchi doesn’t contain any cheese, but you can definitely add in some parmesan or ricotta.
What can I add to this gnocchi recipe? We kept things simple with this recipe by using salt, pepper and garlic powder; but you can always add in your favorite mix of herbs and spices. You can add paprika, basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, parsley, sage, chives or a blend of Italian seasoning.
Can I prep this in the oven? Sure! If you don’t own an air fryer, you can simply bake these small tasty pieces.
How can I store any leftovers? Be aware that this is the kind of snacks that disappears in matter of seconds, so if by any luck, you have a few pieces left, transfer to an airtight container and place in the fridge (enjoy up to 4 days or keep frozen up to 2 months).
