Can I use the same recipe with a different fish? Sure! You can use Trout, Tuna, Cod, or Halibut; they all have a firm texture and can be cut into cubes. If you don’t want to use fish, you can replace with chicken breast and make chicken bites instead.
How can I replace the butter? You can replace with olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil.
Can I use a different sauce? One of my absolute favorites is honey mustard sauce. I like the subtle sweetness that nicely contrasts the salmon bites. You can also use Teriyaki sauce or Chimichurri sauce. Sometimes, I prefer to simply mix some Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic and fresh dill; it’s got all the flavors that would nicely complement the salmon bites.
What if I don’t want to use an air fryer?. You can still make these garlic butter salmon bites in the oven at 375 degrees F for about 10 to 12 minutes. You can also fry them in a pan or cook them on the grill after carefully placing the cubes in skewers.
