Helpful Tips and Variations:
Which pasta shell works best for this recipe?. I personally prefer to make this recipe with Farfalle or Rotini but you can choose whichever you prefer.
How can I replace the ground beef? You can replace ground beef with ground chicken, ground turkey or sausage. If you want a vegetarian dish, simply omit the meat and use a plant based option.
Can I use marinara sauce?. You can definitely replace the canned tomatoes with marinara sauce, just keep in mind to adjust the consistency of the soup by adding broth or water as marinara tend to be thicker.
What can I add to this lasagna soup?. I believe adding spinach of bell peppers would provide more nutrition to your dish and create a beautiful contrast of color. You can also add any mushrooms you prefer for an enhanced taste.
How can I store this lasagna soup?. Once the soup has completely cooled down to room temperature, place in an airtight container or distribute portions over couple containers if you’re meal pepping. (When my goal is to meal prep, I tend to double the recipe, portion, and keep it in several sealed glass containers to make the reheating process easier and mess-free)
